How do you place your keyword ?

Step one:

Place you keyword on the web page’s / website’s title. This Web page has the title with the keywords which matches the content.

You would need to place the keyword on the header of the page without which its useless to even think that you would get a better ranking.

If you type a keyword on google, Bing or yahoo, you would not really find the exact content you are trying to search for isn’t that correct ? yes, you would then again type the keyword along with a few more ( for eg: How to + SEO + web-page ). Now here you might be able to score a home run for your web page. You would need to ensure that the contact matches with at-least 5 – 10 possible sentence formation with the correct keyword.

Say, I have the keyword ” Microsoft ” on this page, you can see that the term is only used ones which obviously does not give any value to the content along with the keyword. You would need to ensure that the content you have needs to work around the main keywords that are being used. If you use the keywords incorrectly, some of the search engines would black list that url as it would consider it as spam.

Step six:

In order to determine the quality of a Web page, almost all the search engines try checking with back links. Back links means the search engine looks how many other websites or pages are linking to this single page and it ranks accordingly. More the number, higher the probability of being on top of search list. Here is something i had discovered earlier, if you use a back link from a highly ranked website such as Facebook for example, google or Bing does not really assume that the site page’s content is matching to the searched terms. You would need to have back links from medium size websites such as popular forum or blogs. web pages linking to your site are themselves ranked high in search engines with relevant content, they would inevitably turbo charge your page’s rank.

Step seven:

Meta tags are a must for a web page, it provides information about the content the web page has and also ensure that the web bots, spiders understand the complexity of the web page.  to computer programs but aren’t visible to humans visiting the page. You must create a meta tag that lists keywords for your web page.

Social networking sites such as facebook, orkut etc need to have presense of your website in order to attract more people into your website.

When you add a picture in the article that you publish, you forget that lots of people search for images. Now when you search for an image such as ” Ferrari”, check out the top ten images on google. You would find the latest model of ferrari and very highly ranked websites such as WiKi on top. Why is that ?

Every picture would have a title and a short description. The date on which it was published and the number of visitors to that image makes it go on top.

Step ten:

Directory posting, you submit a web page to google and other search engines in order to get their bot to crawl your website.
